  Incompetent front desk can kill your animal - beware! I am (was - will never return) an established patient and called because my cat was sick - fever, not breathing well, stopped eating - and they told me they could see her on December 18, 2017!! I called them on Dec 6!! My cat would be dead by then! I was very fortunate and found another vet in Okemos who saw my cat the next day (on Dec 7) she has had fluid IV, been force fed about 6 times per day special recovery wet food from new vet, on antihistamine, antibiotic, shot of antibiotic, and on a food stimulant medication. I am shocked that the only advise was to take her to the MSU Emergency clinic, that could not fit a sick animal here. I will never return here and recommend you never go to this vet. If your animal gets sick - it will be DEAD before they "get you in." I don't care if this is incompetent front desk staff or what - when they say they are an animal "hospital" but won't see sick animals? I am really disgusted with them - I am telling everyone I know not to return here. I am also telling everyone where I found excellent care and they saw me to day after I called to fit an emergency sick animal in. Shame on you Okemos Animal Hospital.
